Stardust for Bowie.
Stardust for Bowie: first draft...
It all started as a request bij “Studio Brussel” (a popular music radio over here), who wanted to do a special tribute for Bowie. And since –especially his early songs- were often influenced by space and space-flight, they wanted to put that lightning bolt from the album “Alladin Sane” immortalised in the sky.
Of course, this is all highly symbolic, nothing official about that. So we tried to find 7 suitable stars, making a “lightning bolt” in the sky, not too far away from the position (in the sky) of the planet Mars on the day Bowie died (as a reference to some other Bowie songs, “Life on Mars” e.a.). But once again, nothing of this is official. And it would be better if people called it an “asterism” instead of a“constellation”...
